Yangon Circular Train
Travel Diaries: Yangon, Myanmar
The Yangon Circular Train was built by the British in 1954. It covers a railway track loop of 45.9 kilometers and stops at 39 stations. It takes almost 3 hours to complete the journey. Trains make both clockwise and counter-clockwise journeys daily along the railway loop.
For less than one US dollar, the Yangon Circular Train will give you a chance to mingle with the friendly locals and get a glimpse into their laid back and almost stress free life style. You will experience the true essence of local life in Yangon as you travel through the city’s rural landscape.
Don’t forget to take your camera to capture some of the most picturesque sceneries along the way.
